WEST HAVEN, Conn. – New Haven Men's Basketball freshman forward
Teshaun Steele (Worcester, Mass./Darrow School) has been named NEC Men's Basketball Rookie of the Week, making him the third member of the program to earn the title this year.
To begin the 2-0 week for the Blue & Gold, Steele contributed 10 points, pulled down four rebounds, and dished out one assist in 18 minutes of work in an 80-74 win over Wagner on Saturday afternoon.
Continuing his strong week, Steele finished with three points and three boards off the bench in New Haven's 62-56 win over Chicago State on Monday night.
Steele joins teammates
Tristan Burth (Bronx, N.Y./Bridgeport Preparatory School) and
Aidan Losiewicz (Douglas, Mass./Newman School) to be named NEC Men's Basketball Rookie of the Week. Only CCSU has had more players named Rookie of the Week.
