2022-23: Earned Academic Distinction (Fall 2022) and Academic Honors (Spring 2023) accolades on the Northeast-10 Academic Honor Roll and named to the New Haven Dean’s List following the spring semester.  INDOOR TRACK & FIELD: Competed in six meets during the indoor season, all in the shot put … Posted a pair of top-three finishes, in his first two meets of the season at the I-95 Showdown and the Ramapo College Opener … Set a personal best at the New England Championships where hit snagged a mark of 14.98 meters (49’1.75”), finishing 14th overall … Posted a ninth place finish at the NE10 Championship. OUTDOOR TRACK & FIELD: Competed in just one meet during the outdoor season, the NE10 Championship where he finished eighth overall with a distance of 14.45 meters (46’4.25”).

2021-22: Earned Academic Honor accolades on the Northeast-10 Academic Honor Roll following the spring semester.  INDOOR TRACK & FIELD: Competed in three meets during his first indoor season with the Chargers, all in the shot put … Posted top-eight finishes in all three meets, his best a fifth place finish with a mark of 14.60 meters (47’11”) at the Rutgers Open … Finished eighth in the shot put field at the Northeat-10 Championship with a toss of 14.05 meters (46’1.25”). OUTDOOR TRACK & FIELD: Competed in just two meets during the outdoor season with his best finish at the Jim Barber and Jack Maloney Invitational where he finished sixth with a throw of 14.05 meters (46’1.25”).

High School: Played three years of varsity football for the Falcons of Xavier High School … Also a member of the track and field team where he served as team captain for three seasons … Three times named All-Southern Connecticut Conference and one tabbed All-State all for track and field where he threw the shotput and discus.

Personal: Also a member of the New Haven football team … Son of Lisa McDermott and Anthony Colon … Had two brothers, Greyson and Damian and one sister, Dasani … Also a member of the track and field team … Majoring in international business management.
