(09-25-10) FAIRFIELD, Conn. - The University of New Haven men’s and women’s cross country teams competed in the Victor Leeber Invitational Saturday afternoon. The men’s and women’s team both placed seventh at the event.
Freshman
Tim Nohelty (Manchester, Conn./Manchester) led the way for the Chargers on the men’s side, placing 29th in the competition. He finished with a time of 28:50.82 (5:48 average mile), granting the squad 29 points.
Ryan Freitas (Elk Grove, Calif./Franklin) and
Pat Leach (Stow, Mass./Nashoba Regional) followed Nohelty closely placing 40th and 50th, respectively.
In the women’s competition, sophomore
Dominique Stasulli (Shenandoah, Pa./Shenandoah) led the way for the Chargers placing 13th finishing with a time of 20:10.80, granting the squad 13 points. Also on the women’s side, sophomore Tania Bernadino placed 66th while freshman Hilary Bauer placed 68th.
UNH returns to action on October 9th at the New England Championships. This event will take place in Boston Massachusetts.
