FULL NORTHEAST-10 RELEASE

MANSFIELD, Mass. – First-year student-athlete April Mauceri (Londonderry, N.H./Londonderry) continued her strong start to the season, securing the top finish for her squad for the second meet in a row to lead the New Haven women's cross country team at this past weekend's Wesleyan Cardinal Invitational.

The graduate student, Mauceri finished the 6K course in a time of 22:25.3, for an average mile time of 6:00.8 to finished 19th overall in the field of 129 runners. Overall, she finished just over a minute behind the medalist in just her second collegiate race.

Mauceri and the Chargers will return to the course this coming weekend when they head to Highland Park in Attleboro, Mass. for the Brown Bear Invitational. The women's race is scheduled to step off at 11:00 a.m. with the men's race to follow.
