BOX SCORE 2 PHILADELPHIA – The University of New Haven women's volleyball team posted 3-0 victories over Bloomfield College and the host University of the Sciences in a Saturday afternoon tri-match. 
Kaulana Ane (Paia, Hawai'i/Kamehameha) recorded a double-double in the win over the host Devils.
 
The Chargers hit .260 for the afternoon, led by a .455 hitting percentage with 4.17 kills per frame by 
Kristy Atufunwa (Denver, Colo./Denver East). 
Amber Cannady (Yonkers, N.Y./Charles E. Gorton) had a team-best 4.33 kills per set, hitting .380 in the pair of matches against CACC foes. Cannady neared a double-double against USciences with 15 kills and nine blocks. Kristen Lee added 2.00 kills per set on the outside.
 
Ane averaged 7.83 assists per set, including a match-high 30 helpers to go along with 10 digs in the nightcap against host USciences. 
Ashley Gomez (El Paso, Texas/Ysleta) landed three of the Chargers' nine service aces.
 
Defensively, 
Kea-Marie Olaso (Kailua, Hawai'i/Le Jardin Academy) led the way with 5.50 digs per set, with 
Hayley Wilson (Denver, Colo./Overland) adding 3.00 per frame from the back row. Cannady totaled 14 blocks at the net (1 solo, 13 assists) and Ane had a hand in 11 blocks (1 solo, 10 assists) as the Chargers racked up 22 blocks in six sets of work.
 
Sixteen kills from Atufunwa set the pace as New Haven sweep Bloomfield by set scores of 25-13, 25-21 and 25-17. The Chargers hit .300 as a team, which Cannady adding 11 kills and Lee delivering eight finishers. Ane doled out 17 assists against the Deacons with 
Annika Hacker (Bayreuth, Germany/Littleton (Colo.)) sharing setter duties en route to 13 assists. Olaso led all players with 22 digs.
 
In the final match of the day, the Chargers raced past USciences by scores of 25-15, 25-15 and 25-13. Cannady's 15 kills led all players, and Atufunwa added nine. Wilson had a match-best 14 digs.
 
The Chargers resume Northeast-10 action on Tuesday at American International before returning to Charger Gymnasium on Saturday, Oct. 12 for a tri-match featuring NE-10 foe Merrimack and perennial power No. 5 Nebraska-Kearney.
