OPENING TIP
New Haven will leave the state of Connecticut for the final time this regular season on Wednesday evening when they pay a visit to Saint Rose at 5:30 p.m.
INSIDE THE SERIES
- New Haven holds a 12-9 all-time record against Saint Rose, dating back to their first-ever matchup with the Golden Knights in 2009.
The Chargers prevailed 68-49 earlier this season and have won the last two matchups in the series, both of which came at home. Saint Rose took last year's matchup in Albany by a score of 65-53.
SCOUTING NEW HAVEN
- The Chargers are coming off a lopsided loss on Saturday at Le Moyne, but have won three of their last four games.
- New Haven has clinched a spot in the upcoming NE10 Conference Tournament and sits in fourth place in the Southwest Division, one spot behind Pace for third place. The top three seeds in each division all earn byes into the NE10 quarterfinals.
- Last Wednesday against Pace, the Chargers held the Setters to 35 points, 25.5 percent from the floor and 10.5 percent from three-point range, all season-lows for the New Haven defense. Last week, the Chargers turned in a pair of solid wins over Southern New Hampshire and Franklin Pierce, having one player in each game record their first career double-double. Juniors
Brie Pergola (Torrington, Conn./Torrington) and
Jasmine White (Huntington, N.Y./St. Anthony's) each recorded their first career double-doubles against SNHU and Franklin Pierce, respectively, with 13 points and 10 rebounds.
- New Haven's defense has been a consistent force all season for the Blue and Gold, leading the NE10 and ranking ninth in the nation in scoring defense at 53.5 points per game. The Chargers also lead the conference and rank 12th nationally in FG% defense (.337), and rank third in the NE10 by holding the opposition to just .289 percent from three-point range. The Chargers also sit 50th in the nation in rebounding margin (+6.1) and 56th in steals per game (10.0).
SCOUTING SAINT ROSE
- Saint Rose has dropped their last eight games in a row, although has had close games on their home floor. Three of the Golden Knights losses at home during the streak have been by 10 points or less, including a 67-65 loss to Saint Michael's, a 74-68 loss to SNHU and a 58-48 loss to Le Moyne.
- Saint Rose is averaging 57.3 points per game, just 0.4 points and one spot behind New Haven at 13th in the NE10. Their field goal percentage of 39.4 percent sits 10th and their three-point percentage of .248 ranks 14th.
- Defensively, Saint Rose holds a rebounding margin of -3.9.
- Junior Nina Fedullo nearly averages a double-double with a team-leading 12.5 points and 9.0 rebounds per game. Senior Leah Dollard is second in both categories with 11.5 points and 4.1 rebounds per game. Sophomore Becca Townes also reaches double figures with 10.1 ppg.
- Fedullo finds herself fourth in the NE10 in field goal percentage at .533 and is fifth in rebounding.

GOAL STREAK
Brie Pergola (Torrington, Conn./Torrington) has scored in double figures in four of the last five games, including 16 points against Franklin Pierce on Feb. 1 and a 13-point, 10 rebound effort for her first career double-double at SNHU on Jan. 28.
LOCKDOWN DEFENSE
The Chargers have allowed under 50 points in 10 games this season, including 40 points to then-No. 19 Bentley a season-low 35 points to Pace on Feb. 5.

CRASHING THE BOARDS
New Haven has been outrebounded only twice all season on Jan. 22 against Saint Anselm and Feb. 8 at Le Moyne. They have outrebouded their opponents in 17 games this season, and drew even on three occasions against Pace, Stonehill and Assumption. New Haven's +6.1 rebounding margin is second in the NE10.
THRICE AS NICE!
For the third time this season, New Haven freshman
Aurora Deshaies (Syracuse, N.Y./Bishop Ludden) has been crowned the Northeast-10 Conference Rookie of the Week. Desahies averaged 13 points and seven rebounds per game while leading the Chargers to a 1-1 week.
Deshaies collected 12 points and six rebounds on 6-of-11 shooting to lead the Chargers to a win over Pace on Wednesday, helping the team pull away and grow the lead to 10 points midway through the fourth quarter with a pair of layups. The Syracuse native then led New Haven with 14 points and eight rebounds on 4-of-8 shooting in her homecoming at Le Moyne on Saturday.
For the season, she leads the NE10 with a .573 field goal percentage, while leading the team with 7.1 rebounds and ranking second with 11.7 points per game.
Deshaies previously earned the honor back on November 11 and December 16. The Chargers also had
Micah Wormack (Cumberland, Md./Allegany) earn NE10 Player of the Week honors on Dec. 16.
RECORD WATCH
- Senior
Micah Wormack (Cumberland, Md./Allegany) currently has 950 points, just 50 points shy of becoming the 20th player in program history to join the 1,000 point club. She would also become just the 14 player in program history to have 1,000 points and 500 career rebounds.
