COMPLETE RESULTS
FARMINGDALE, N.Y. - The New Haven women's cross country team placed all of its scorers among the top 27 finishers to close out the season-opening Adelphi Panthers Invitational with a fourth place finish, among the field of 14 teams. Pacing the Chargers at Bethpage State Park was junior Alli Kenealy (Shelton, Conn./Shelton) who finished in 12th place overall with a time of 20:34.30 on the five-kilometer course.
Five additional Chargers followed Kenealy, all finishing within a 10-runner span, led by freshman Isabella Bostic (Saint Johnsbury, Vt./Saint Johnsbury Academy) who closed out her first collegiate meet in 19th place overall with a time of 21:19.60. Senior Nicolette Maselli (Avon-by-the-Sea, N.J./Spotswood) followed in 23rd place with a time of 21:38.90.
Rounding out the scorers was freshman Serena Hutchison (Kendall Park,N.J./South Brunswick) and senior Elizabeth O'Donnell (East Northport, N.Y./Commack) who finished in 26th and 27th, respectively. Hutchison's first collegiate race clocked in at 21:31.70, while O'Donnell finished under six seconds behind her at 21:38.10.
The Chargers will return to action in just over a week when they travel to Manchester, Conn. for the Trinity Bantam Invitational on Saturday, September 11.
