FULL RESULTS

WESTFIELD, Mass. – Sophomore Elsie Kaas (Elverson, Pa./Bishop Shanahan) continued her streak of leading the New Haven women's cross country team, closing out the 2023 Northeast-10 Conference Championships in 27th place among the field of 94 runners as the Chargers concluded the Championship in 10th place overall.

Kaas' time of 24:26.7 comes in 25 seconds faster than her previous time on a 6K course as she paced the Chargers in her second conference championship. Following Kaas for the Blue and Gold was Jennifer Garcia (New Haven, Conn./Hillhouse) who finished 78th overall with a time of 29:08.2.

Finishing just 15 seconds behind Garcia was freshman Bernadette Karpel (New Haven, Conn./Hillhouse) as she covered the course in a time of 29:23.2 to round out the Blue and Gold's top-three. Sophomore Gabrielle Abruzzo followed in 86th place with a time of 30:13.0, while freshman Audri Pettirossi () completed the Chargers five with a time of 37:51.2.

New Haven will take the next two weeks before returning to action with the NCAA Division II East Region Championships which will be held at Hopkinton State Fairgrounds in Contoocook, N.H. on Saturday, November 4.
