These accolades highlight the Chargers' dedication and impressive performances as they build momentum toward the championship season.
Jordany Dely (Spring Valley, N.Y./Paramus Catholic) was named Track Athlete of the Week following an exceptional performance in the 60m hurdles at the Harvard Invitational. Dely showcased his speed and precision in the prelims, clocking 8.07 seconds to advance to the finals. In the championship heat, he elevated his performance to another level, shaving 0.12 seconds off his time to set a new personal best and school record of 7.95 seconds, securing first place in the event. His performance continues to set the standard for the Chargers' sprint squad, making him a key contender as the season progresses.
On the women's side, Gabrielle Teel (Willow Grove, Pa./Upper Moreland) earned Field Athlete of the Week honors after a dominant showing in the Triple Jump. Teel wasted no time making her mark in the event, opening with a strong jump of 11.77m. However, she saved her best for last, delivering a clutch sixth and final attempt of 12.07m, securing the event victory. Her ability to perform under pressure demonstrates her potential as a top competitor in the Northeast-10 and beyond.
