FULL RESULTS

HARTFORD, Conn. – Opening the 2024 season, the University of New Haven Women's Cross Country team stayed in the Nutmeg State as they traveled north to the capital city to compete at the University of Hartford Invitational where the team finished third overall among the eight teams that attended.

Opening up the season strong, April Mauceri (Londonderry, N.H./Londonderry) led the way for the Chargers and set the tone early finishing third overall in the field as Mauceri crossed in 11:20.9.

Finishing second for the Chargers, Elsie Kaas (Elverson, Pa./Bishop Shanahan) finished 11 overall crossing in 12:20.3 as New Haven had their first two runners across the line. Ennna Pollock in her first race, finished third for New Haven and 17 overall in her collegiate debut crossing with a time of 12:34.3.

Isabella Bostic (Saint Johnsbury, Vt./Saint Johnsbury Academy) and Violet Coyle (South Salem, N.Y./John Jay) rounded out the top five for New Haven finishing one after the other within two seconds of each other as Bostic finished 32 overall with a time of 13:16.3, and Coyle crossed in 13:18.7 as the blue and gold claimed a top three finish at the invitational.

The Chargers remain in the Nutmeg state when they return to action, and make a shorter road trip to Middletown Connecticut, to compete at the Wesleyan Cardinal Invitational hosted by Wesleyan College on Saturday, September 21 with runners leaving the line at 10:30 a.m. All updates, schedules, and post-meet recaps for the team will be available at NewHavenChargers.com.
