A three-time United States Track and Field and Cross Country Association Indoor Athlete of the Year, Ada Udaya is just the second women’s track and field student-athlete to enter the New Haven Athletics Hall of Fame. A 16-time All-American and a two-time Academic All-American, Ada’s success began right out of the gates when she qualified for the NCAA Division II Championship in four events across the indoor and outdoor seasons as a rookie. Just two short years later Ada was named the NE10 Track Athlete of the Year and the East Region Track Athlete of the Year after earning a third-place finish at the NCAA Championships during the indoor season and winning four NE10 titles, setting four championship records during the outdoor season. As a senior, Ada would repeat as the NE10 Athlete of the Meet at the indoor Championships, setting conference records in the 60-meter and 200-meter events. She would follow that up with NE10 titles in the 100-meter and 200-meter events before earning a second overall finish at the NCAA Division II National Championships.
