John S. Krawiecki Jr. enters the New Haven Hall of Fame as one of the best pitchers to ever wear a Charger uniform.

Krawiecki finished his career with a 28-7 record and a 1.57 ERA, highlighted by his senior season in which he was 11-1 with a 0.84 ERA, an average that remains one of the best in a single season at UNH.

In four seasons he recorded 270 strikeouts (5th all-time) while walking just 100 batters in 291.2 career innings (8th all-time). In addition, his 1.57 career ERA is third best in school history, while is seventh all-time in career wins with 28. 

Krawiecki's success began as soon as stepepd on campus, as he closed out his freshman season as an Honorable Mention All-America selection in 1967. The 1970 co-captain pitched two no-hitters in his career and signed with the San Diego Padres after graduation.

At the plate, Krawiecki batted .271 for his career, with his best season at the dish coming as a junior in 1969 when he batted .314. Krawiecki played baseball continuously for 40 years beginning at the age of eight, he also umpired collegiate baseball for 14 years and coached youth baseball for over 20 years.
