Joe Kingston once held five program records for New Haven men’s track and field en route to being named the University’s Athlete of the Year in 1978.

Kingston was also a four-time All-Tri-State Conference performer in cross country and won the All-Collegiate Track Conference Championship in the 3000-meter steeplechase in 1977.

Kingston held the UNH records in the mile run, two-mile run, three-mile run, 3000-meter run and 3000-meter steeplechase.
