To this day, Dennis Paglialunga is among the New Haven baseball all-time leaders in games played, hits, batting average, doubles and triples.

The third baseman, who was also known for his defensive prowess on the hot corner, led the Chargers is hits and runs scored in three seasons as the Blue and Gold advanced to the NCAA postseason in all four of his campaigns on the diamond (1976-79). Three of those appearances in the NCAA postseason included a trip to the NCAA College World Series.
