Lori Miller entered the Hall of Fame as one of the most decorated softball players in Chargers history. She finished her four-year career leading New Haven in three separate pitching categories: wins (72), innings pitched (703.1) and earned run average (0.87), with the latter remaining as the lowest in school history.
As a freshman, she tossed a no-hitter versus Southern Connecticut. In 1990, Miller finished the season with a 0.67 ERA, the eighth-best mark in Division II and the lowest in a single season at UNH.
She became New Haven’s first 20-game winner in 1991, recording a mark of 20-2. The 1991 New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Co-Player of the Year led her team to a 36-8 record and guided them to second place in the conference. Miller completed her career with 25 wins in 1992.
A two-time All-NECC honoree, Miller was also named to the All-Northeast Region First Team in 1991 and her 25-6 record and 123 strikeouts earned her a spot on the All-Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference first team in 1992. Miller was also named University of New Haven Athlete of the Year in 1992.
In her four-year career, the Chargers totaled 117 wins, amassing 30 victories or more in three of her four seasons. Miller finished her career with a 72-79 record.
